For the last two years I considered myself to be a “wedding photojournalist.” I love capturing real moments and staying out of the way while I work. The only issue I had with this title is that every guest at a wedding with a camera could be considered a photojournalist. We are all taking pictures of the same event and telling a story with our images. I wanted a title that reflected not only my style, but my technique and quality.

How far in advance should clients book your services?
Two month, but in case of out-station and destination weddings, we prefer a buffer period of 4-6 months at least.
What is the advance payment before the event?
Client shall reserve the time and date of services by signing and returning the contract along with a non-refundable, non-transferable reservation retainer equal to 50% of the total photography fee. No date is reserved until the contract and retainer are received. The balance due for the photography services must be paid in full no less than 30 days before the event date. In the event Client fails to remit payment as specified, the Photographer shall have the right to immediately terminate this Agreement with no further obligation, retain any monies already paid, and not attend this event. Returned checks will be assessed a Rupees 500 INR non-sufficient funds fee, and all future purchases/payments must be paid by Cash. Unless the contract is canceled, the retainer fee shall be applied to the photography fee total.
What is your cancellation policy?
If for any reason Client cancels this contract before the wedding date, Photographer will keep the retainer. Cancellation must be made in writing, signed by the contracted party, and sent via Registered Mail by the Indian Post. If Client fails to supply written cancellation as specified before the wedding date or cancels within 30 days of the wedding date, Client shall be required to pay the full balance due.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Never.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes and ALWAYS.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes.
How many photographers do you work with?
Mostly one, but we also prefer associate photographers for required weddings.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Our Wedding Photography contract includes “Home Use Rights” which means that you can use the images for personal, nontransferable and non-commercial uses. You may make as many prints as you like for yourself, or to give away as gifts. You may place low resolution (72dpi) copies of the images on your personal website for viewing as long as prints are not offered for sale. You may copy the disc to facilitate storing a backup in a separate location. No other person shall be authorized by you to use the images in any form whatsoever. You agree to be held personally liable for the actions of any person who receives an image directly, or indirectly, from you. You may not sell the image files or prints produced from the files whether in original form, or after any amount of alteration. No persons may not use the image files as a basis for the creation of any artworks if that artwork is to be used for any commercial purpose. No rights to these images may be transferred to any other person or company, whether for
profit, or as a gift. The images may not be displayed or printed in any commercial media, for any purpose whatsoever, without written permission from the photographer. If you have a question about any specific usage, please contact the photographer to ask for clarification or permission before proceeding with such use.
