Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I always shoot with multiple cameras. So there is an in-built backup system wherein even if one camera fails, the other is still in action.
How many photographers do you work with?
I normally work alone. If the scale of the wedding is such that multiple photographers are needed, I have tie ups with a number of fellow professionals. In case the client also needs traditional style posed photography / group shots / stage shots then I have an understanding with some studios for the same. Each of these is chargeable separately and my standard quotes do not include these.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Short of immobility due to a mishap or serious illness or a family emergency, I would never default on a commitment made. It has never happened in the 70+ Weddings I have covered so far. However in the off chance that it does happen, Yes, I do have good backup photographers.

Multiple cameras, multiple lenses, flashes & a tripod. I try to minimize the use of flash and shoot with available light to the greatest extent possible.

Yes. The client must bear air-fare to the closes airport and other local conveyance charges as well.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I deliver edited soft copies within 3 weeks from the wedding.

Yes, partially. The client owns all rights for personal use of the pictures including printing them as many times as he wants, sharing them online and offline with friends, taking large prints for wall display and more. However the client may not use the pictures for commercial purposes eg. selling the images as stock images or using them in any kind of advertising for any product/service with or without consideration.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. I retain the rights to use the images to advertise and promote my services in both online and offline media.
When will the client get the final album?
Within 2 weeks of him making the choice of pictures for the album.
Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
I operate from a home office. The kind of work I do (candid photography) does not warrant a studio, and since I shoot at locations across the country it wouldn't be practically feasible to have a studio as well.
