Does love happen to friends, or the person you love becomes your friend?

Shruti and Sandesh qualify for both these scenarios, as they became friends, fell in love, took the seven vows and started on a happily ever after journey. While we cannot choose our family and other relations, we can always choose who we are friends with. And what if one’s life partner is a friend who shares common interests, then life becomes a fun-filled adventure, more than just a journey. Similar is the story of Sandesh & Shruti.

Sandesh Jain, born and brought up in Mumbai, is a partner at vibrant Infra who loves music, travelling, food and is a gadget freak.
Shruti Jain born and brought up in Mumbai, is a renowned jewellery designer, who loves music, travelling, food and shopping.
With so much in common, the only wait was for cupid to strike his love arrow.

Sometimes it takes years to find your perfect match and sometimes it just happens at a blink of an eye, and this is what our story is all about – Sandesh

How they met

On a lazy Sunday, Sandesh gets a call from his bestie Nidhi inviting him to the F bar. Shruti gets a call, from her friend Ameeta, to meet up in F bar as well. It was not a co-incidence; it must surely be the conspiracy of the love gods. The friends met, the common friends also met, and Sandesh & Shruti became new friends. After friends & fun, it was food that brought these two together. The Manchurian roll that they shared at Mini Punjab was the start of everything they were going share thereafter. After a yummy tummy, Sandesh got an opportunity to drop the beautiful lady home. The drive was slow and smooth but the speed of knowing each other was at 200kmph. What they did not realize was that they started on a journey that would last a life time.

Sandesh always wanted his partner to be a part of everything he likes and that is exactly what he found in her…within the next 15 days they got engaged.

Everything was so quick that it felt like joyful roller coaster ride. But as the saying goes, When it feels right it’s bound to be right.

Dhamakedar Sangeet

With few months of courtship, the final steps towards legalizing their love started on 1st December with a Sangeet party at Hyatt Regency. While Shruti looked gorgeous in an orange and beige lehengha and her make-up was done by Mabel D’silva, Sandesh complemented her with a black Sherwani from Manish Malhotra’s collection.

A Fabulous Cocktail Party

The cocktail party is very close Shruti and Sandesh’s heart; they chose a Christian wedding theme at Escobar, Bandra, Mumbai. An all white party right from the décor, the theme, the props, a perfect sundowner, and champagne everywhere. The highlight of the event being their friend acting as a priest for this event.

The Dream Wedding

When it comes to wedding, everyone wants a fairy tale to be told. Even before Shruti could live the complete magic of Cocktail party, their Big Day arrived. It was 10th December, all the carpets were spread at Tote’s on the Turf, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, to welcome the stars of the day – the bride and the groom. They both wanted a classy, stylish, place where the food is at its best, and Shruti figured out Tote’s.
